Sharing Safe Operating Procedures for Adhesive Machines
During daily processing and production, improper use or incorrect operating methods can easily lead to machine failures. In fact, operating the laminator is not complicated—temperature, pressure, and speed can all be adjusted freely within specified ranges as needed. Below, we share the safe operating procedures for laminators. Let’s take a look together!
1. Users must understand the operating procedures and basic principles of the bonding machine before being trained and certified to operate it.
2. Before starting the gluing machine, check whether the electrical circuit is functioning properly and ensure the machine’s surface is clean. Also, make sure scissors, blades, hard objects, and other items are not placed at the conveyor end to prevent damage to the conveyor belt.
3. Press the power switch until the power indicator light turns on. At this point, the motor and electric heater will start simultaneously, reaching the set temperature after about 30 minutes.
4. Select an appropriate working environment temperature based on the red interlining material: - For 3068H interlining, use 165–190°C; - For 3068M (or S) interlining, use 165–180°C; - For 3044H (or S) interlining, use 165–180°C; - For 80g non-woven interlining, set the temperature at 130–140°C; - For 60g non-woven interlining, adjust the temperature to 120–160°C; - For 30g non-woven interlining, maintain the temperature between 110–160°C; - For 20g non-woven interlining, keep the temperature within 110–150°C; - For 60g twill interlining, use 115–125°C; - For 20g twill non-woven interlining, set the temperature at 125–135°C.
5. Please note that the actual operating temperature of the bonding machine should be determined based on the specific conditions of the adhesive and fabric. Only after passing tests at least twice can formal bonding proceed.
6. Pressure selection should be based on the material's actual characteristics, typically ranging from 1 to 2 kg/m² (or 0.09 to 0.2 MPa). For thicker fabrics or when high pressure isn't required, adjust the bonding pressure to a reasonable level through experimentation.

7. Choose a speed of 2–3 m/min, or select a bonding time of 8–12 seconds.
8. When bonding, ensure the lining fabric’s edges are slightly smaller than the garment piece, with the rubber side facing the wrong side of the fabric material.
9. When the bonding machine is operating under normal working conditions, it is strictly prohibited to reach into the machine's internal components to grab or remove fabric pieces.
10. The clothing scraper and conveyor belt should be cleaned periodically or whenever they become stained. Exercise extra caution when the machine is running. Report any issues promptly.
11. When the gluing machine experiences a power outage, promptly use the emergency handle to turn the machine, helping to reduce its temperature and preventing damage to the conveyor belt caused by overheating.
12. After finishing work, select the automatic shutdown function, adjust the temperature to zero, and ensure the pressure is also at zero. At the same time, clean off any residue from the yarn guide rod and apply silicone oil. Stay tuned to Yili for more updates.
